Designing the Object of Desire:
A Creative Internship at Dan Pearlman
During my internship at the Dan Pearlman Group, I had the opportunity to work on the "Object of Desire" project, which is designed by changing employees of Dan Pearlman and featured monthly in the H.O.M.E magazine.
These products have an ironic touch and aim to bring a smile to the readers' faces. Throughout my six-month internship, I was responsible for four of these designs, taking charge of model building, product photography, and illustrating the assembly instructions.
Crafting: Model Building, Product Photography, and Illustration
To capture the charm and creativity of the "Object of Desire," I enthusiastically took on the tasks of model building, product photography, and illustration.
In the model building phase, I carefully translated the unique shapes and details of the products to capture their distinctive aesthetics. During product photography, I focused on staging to highlight the visual appeal of the products. And in illustrating the assembly instructions, I employed creativity and precision to provide readers with clear guidance for implementing the designs.
Bringing Smiles to Readers
The outcome was a delightful combination of model building, product photography, and illustration that brought smiles to the readers of H.O.M.E magazine.
The designs of the "Object of Desire" were showcased in four of the magazine issues between 2021 & 2022, evoking visual excitement and inspiration. My meticulous execution of the tasks helped convey the uniqueness and ironic charm of the products, providing readers with a visual experience that enthralled them.
